A Hitchhiker named big hairy Spider

Last weekend i met up with a friend for drinks who i hadn't seen in a long time.

we had a fantastic night out, although the next day was not so good hungover and all.

I live just over an hour from my friend, so the trip home was not so good.

Driving along the highway, minding my own business, bopping along to the music. About 15 minutes into my drive, i was so rudely interrupted, out the corner of my eye i see this big Spider (Huntsman) trying to crawl through my drivers side window

So scared of spiders i am, big or small!

without thinking i swerved off the road, almost hitting another car. Trying to quickly wind my window up at the same time, eventually getting it up. 

It then decided to run on my front wind screen, i thought i would be tricky 

by turning on my wipers with No suck luck, totally missed it, it ran to the other side of my car front passenger window.

so i do what any normal person would do, i jump out of the car run around to that side, rip off my joggers and start throwing them at the car trying to squish the spider, again, with no such luck, that little sucker was fast. It took off in to my front guard. 

Realizing how weird i must have looked to other motorists i jumped back in my car. It was a hot day, i was hung over, my car air conditioning was not working, the sun shining through my windows was working like a magnifier glass. I couldn't wind down my window just in case the spider had crawled on my roof, and was waiting for me to open my window so he could come in.

At first, i closed all my air vents thinking maybe it was going to somehow crawl in through them, Can you picture that a big spider being blown out of your air vent landing on your chest! eewww

Anyways i soon realized it was a chance i was going to have to take because it was way to hot, i needed some form of air coming in and winding down my window was just not an option! 

I sweated my butt off all the way home. I called my hubby who was inside the house from the driveway telling him to come check my car over before i got out..

He told me how silly i was and that it would definitely be gone by now,but being the good hubby he is, he came out and checked my car over, and what did he find... My hitch hiker hanging on for dear life, on the passenger side of my car.

Surely i can't be the only one who acts like a total nutter when it comes to spiders lol
