Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day to all you Wonderful Dads out there!

We started our day firstly by getting an almost sleep-in till 8am.
anything passed 6am is classed as a sleep-in in our house.
although, our younger 2 kept coming in every 5 minutes from about 7am to check if dad was awake yet

they bought his presents in about 7:15 and placed it on the end of the bed,
then came in a few more times to see if "Dad" was awake yet.
Finally at 7:45 they thought if they placed there presents right up against Dads back, dad would get excited about his present and wake up. Lucky Dad didnt decide to roll over!

"Oh What was That?" Dad moved, Emily says to Jaxen "stay in here, he is waking up" then calls very loudly out to her brother who was at the other end of the house.
"Ashley Dads awake now".

Well "poor" dad really is awake now!
Dad opens his present, then thanks the kids
Then our day went back to normal at least it did for the next hour or 2
the children were feed and dressed.
then there was a knock at the door....
"The kids are wondering who it is"
There uncle walks through the door and tells them he has a Suprize for them
Over Excited now, there asking "what is it"
there Pop appears at the door who they haven't seen for a few months.
OMG talk about excitement not to mention the noise that comes with excitement.
another Suprize for hubby getting to see his dad on fathers day!
hubby decides he is getting a bit peckish, so off to the kitchen i go,
with my little helper, in toe, Emily

we finally whipped up a HUGE Brunch by the time it was all cooked it was Lunch for everyone!
(Steak, Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Tomato, Onion, Bake Beans, Bread Rolls)
i forgot to take my own pic, so i had to find a similar one off the net, gotta love Google!
After Brunch Lunch we spent the rest of the afternoon Catching up while having a few drinks!

Pretty sure hubby had a great day!

How did you spend your fathers day?

Beautiful. I don't get to see my Dad much on Father's Day anymore. He's in Bris and I'm in Syd. He turned 80 in May, and loves a chat. So whenever I call him we are on the phone for ages. He's usually telling me stuff he's already told me, but that's OK. Glad you ALL had a great day...Terese
