Whats the weather like at your place?

In our tiny town in Central west NSW, today seems ok. The sun is out the sky is blue.
Not more then 5kms down the road the water is high with roads cut off.

My car is now in the "fix it" shop, as it sucked up to much water and blew the motor.
"Hubby" tried to give us a suprize visit, for our sons 11th Birthday. He had already driven just over 500kms to get here.
He was roughly about 5kms away when he came to this:
He says it looked shallow, so he attempted driving through it, with no such luck, he heard a "pop" noise then the car died and had to be towed away.
I may or may not have shed a tear or two watching 'my baby' be towed away.
I checked out Weatherzone this morning only to find this.

So what is/was the weather like at your place?

Sorry to hear about your car! It's wet here too (just north of Brisbane) - great weather for curling up with a book.

We are also saturated, but luckily our car is going ok still. We have had more rain in the last few days than we got during an entire year during the drought. It's crazy. The upside is that with the road closures, I can't get to work!

Oh bugger about the car. We have had hardly any rain the last few days. It has been hot and humid though.

Hope the car isn't to costly to fix.

Oh, no! That sucks, Jane. Yesterday, we had a sunny day for.the first time in what feels like years. I went mad washing clothes because it's not meant to last...we've been cut off from town in all directions (there are three ways for us to get there). Thankfully, the water is now receding and we can get to town via the highway, although it takes about half an hour instead of 5 mins.
Hope your car isn't out of commission for too long!

It's rainy here in Brisvegas but nothing compared to what you are going through. Eek! Hope you get the car back soon... and that the rain eases even sooner! xo

Wooah!
Your poor car - and Hubby.
We're still blissfully ignoring the date and in the throes of Summer in Perth.

Oh dear... the weather is quite erratic over here and has been raining heaps too! Luckily it has not flooded any major areas this year yet though ;p Last year our main shopping strip got flooded a few times..

Oh no! I can't believe our weather again this year, so awful - we are fortunate to have had a nice summer in Melbourne but I'd swap it for rain if it meant we could all enjoy some sunshine for a change.

Oh no! My brother did that exact same thing to his car a couple of years ago - attempting to drive through a "shallow" puddle! I'm not sure of the details, but he is still driving the same car now, if that gives you hope!

What such terrible weather australia is having at the moment :( your poor car :( its not something you want to happen when you probably need it the most! Hope things get better for you!

Oh dear! Hubby is not using it as an excuse to buy a 4WD is he? That is something Boatman would do!

Glad you're fine where you are; hope it stays that way.

Oh man, that weather chart... Not good! Not as much rain down here in Melb. but still enough to give the playground a miss for a few days running... what a pity ;). I hope the car is OK...!

Poor car! Our road is a mess, at the moment I'm driving through water to get to and from the school bus. It's dropping each day though, but my car looks like it's rolled in mud!
Sunshine out today though, so lots of washing on the line. Hope your car is able to recover!

So super sad about the car, don't blame you for a tear or two there. I would have as well. I did spend yesterday moaning about the rain due to some washing I wanted dry but really by comparison I have nothing to complain about. Fairy wishes and butterfly kisses lovely hope it dries out soon for you

Sad about the car but lucky that's the worst that happened. It's phenomenal the amount of water that is around! We aren't too bad there in Bris but then the weather gods have a way of changing their minds quickly!! Hope the car doesn't cost too much to fix x
