Road Trip!

How have your 'school' holidays been?

Mine have been 'a bit' boring!

I thought my days were going to be fun and exciting, as i have been childless since the start of the holidays.
Well they were until a few days ago when i realized how much i missed my babies.

You see, we don't live near any family members and don't get to see them very often, So once or twice if i am really lucky my kiddies go to there grandparents for a week or more during the school holidays.

It has been fun, being able to:
Eat out without something embarrassing happening, get drunk and not have to worry about a hangover, shop without little fingers touching everything, staying up late knowing i don't have to 'get up early' in the morning, sleep-in oh how i've enjoyed my sleep-ins, i even done a 40 hour assignment in 2 days with no distractions.
Now that i have done all that, i'm bored and missing my kiddies.
I do this every time they go away.
I usually end up picking them up early, (crazy i know) This time i told myself that i wasn't going to do that and i didn't.

Anyways... Today is the day. My post is scheduled and i am doing my 600+kms to pick them up.
Such a boring drive but looking forward to reaching my kiddies at the end.

Hooray! It's always nice to have the opportunity to miss your kids isn't it? I bet they can't wait to see you either!

Heh! I think I'd want to pick my kids up early too. I enjoy their company and like the distraction of having them around.

Well done on the assignment! Safe journey :)

I so look forward to being able to deliver the kiddies for more than a night! An entire bottle of wine will be drunk and will not be shared!

I would miss them too. Enjoy your reunion.
