Kids In The Kitchen
Lately my kids have been wanting toburn, cook experiment, in the kitchen.
Miss 7 seems to be showing more interest!
She is in the process of learning to cook simple things in the microwave.
and has been doing a good job....
Well at least, that was untill i was woken up this morning by the smoke alarm!
Miss 7 decided she wanted to cook her own bowl of porridge

Well at least, that was untill i was woken up this morning by the smoke alarm!
Miss 7 decided she wanted to cook her own bowl of porridge
which would have been fine
if she added some sort of liquid to it before
she put it in the microwave!
I was to busy trying to get rid the burnt porridge smell
to even think about taking a photo!

Oh no! At least she's trying to make her own breakfast :)My daughter (8) too is getting pushy in the kitchen lately. It's their age I guess.
Awww that is as sweet as it is rather alarming, isn't it! I have all this to look forward to yet *off to test smoke alarm batteries*
We love our porridge too. I guess your sweet daughter won't do it again.
Have a lovely weekend
Our Little E (13 months) will only eat what she can feed herself, the exception being porridge because she likes it so much. I can see this experiment being repeated at our place in a few years! Thanks for visiting me today.
Uh oh! I can imagine that smell took a while to fade...
Oh no. That is so funny! But I shouldn't be laughing. So it's one of those stifled ones, where your children don't know I'm doing it.
But gotta love a child who wants to cook. All that food/kitchen love starts right here. xx
My eldest discovered you can just eat the oats raw with some milk and honey - so that's porridge done the lazy way - yay!!
have a good weekend (hope the smell goes soon!!)

@melissa It certainly did.. Hubby got home 8 hours later and asked what the smell was.
Why do all the good cooking smells disappear so quickly whilst the stench of charcoal lingers for days? It's not fair.
Awwww sweet of her to try.
I'm a new follower.

Aaargh! But, good on her for being so experimental in the kitchen. I'm not seeing a whole lotta interest in my own (now) seven year old. He'd still get me to dress, wash and wipe his bot if he could. That's a different kinda of 'aaargh!' and I think I prefer your one!!! x
