Gnomeo & Juliet.

If you missed Gnomeo & Juliet in the Cinema, you don't want to miss it on DVD.
My mini Reviewers have watched this movie not once, not twice,
but at least 7 times or more in the last 5 days!
i'm sure the disc is almost warn out
My little guy has been watching it at night when he goes to bed.

I may or may not have watched it with them all 7 or more times.

Juliet: Why can't your hat be red like my father's, or green like a leprechaun,
or purple like, like, like some wierd guy?

They absolutely Love it.
It is the kind of movie you can watch over and over again.

A Little about the Movie
"Gnomeo & Juliet is an animated family film.
The movie is about the garden objects belonging to the garden of two elderly people, Mrs. Montague and Mr. Capulet who despise each other with the Montague yard filled with blue garden gnomes, and the Capulet yard filled with red garden gnomes. The two gnomes attend a lawnmower race, where the blue gnomes are represented by Gnomeo and the red gnomes is repreented by Tybalt.
 with a little cheating involved.

Gnomeo and his best friend Benny wanting revenge infiltrate the red garden in disguise later that night wanting to spray their lawnmower blue. However, a mistake by Benny alerts the red Gnomes but both Benny and Gnomeo escape with Gnomeo ending in a different garden where he runs into Juliet, the daughter of Lord Redbrick and they fall in love. On discovering that they are from opposite clans, they are a little distraught but decide to have secret meetings in another garden. Here the encounter a pink plastic flamingo named Featherstone who encourages their love.

This follows a host of incidents and fights between the reds and blues culminating in the reds attempt to attack Gnomeo and Juliet coming to his defense and admits being in love with him. Gnomeo ends up escaping and Lor Redbrick glues Juliet to a fountain. Gnomeo ends up in a park, where he encounters the statue of William Shakespeare and tells him his story. Shakespeare then tells Gnomeo that his story is very similar to Romeo and Juliet and it is likely that Gnomeo's will have a sad ending as well.

As Gnomeo makes it back to Juliet's garden and tries to unglue her,
Benny enraged that Gnomeo has been killed buys a large lawnmower online to get revenge.
The lawnmower gets out of control, crashing into the fountain.
If i told you what happened next it wouldn't be a Suprize!

I love the movie "Up"; perhaps it is the romantic in me as it really showed true love between the couple, and friendship with the boy and the man. I have a feeling there may be similar themes in Gnomeo and Juliet!
Now my son is at prep, it is hard to fit in trips to the movies with him. I am not so brave to cope with school holiday movies!
thanks for the chance to win a movie that I did want to see. smiles

With so many great animated movies, it's so hard to choose a favourite. Some of my top flicks would be Beauty & the Beast, The Lion King & the original Charlotte's Web. But my favourite of all time, would have to be The Little Mermaid. "Under the sea, under the sea..."

Is so hard to choose a favourite animated movie when there are so many fantastic ones to choose from. At the moment i think my favourite would be Tangled, as it is the first movie my family of 6 saw at the cinemas (we braved it with a 10, 4, 2 and 6 month old)
