WTF?? Have you gone Mad Mother!?

The look on my Kids faces
when i told them to pack away all electronic game devices
Because we were going to make play-doh.

I'm sure they were thinking i had gone mad,
How dare i take away there most favorite items in the whole wide world.

Obviously making then playing with play-doh wasn't quite so bad.

Heres how we did it

Ingredients
2 Cups Plain Flour
2 Cups Boiling Water
1 Cup Salt (we used table salt)
4 Tablespoons Cream of Tartar
2 Tablespoons oil
Food colouring

Method
Mix all (except food colouring) of the above ingredients together in a large bowl
Blend well, let sit for a few minutes to cool down
  add the food colouring.
Knead well, then its ready to use.
Store in an Airtight Container
To Easy...

What kind of things do your kids do on rainy days?

this is seriously one of my kids most favourite things to do in the whole world. They'd pack pretty much anything away to play playdough, and when it comes out, it usually stays out for a whole week!

@Miss Mandy I wish i could say the same. With my kids its all about the PlayStation, Computer, Nintendo Wii, dsi etc...
I'm trying to find new things for them that don't involve gaming devices.
They have a bunch of toys and a bunch more toys for outside but they are just not interested in any of them!

Oh I hope you still have those beautiful colours.
My two year old loves playdough but I swear within fie minutes it's a murky greeny grey pile of plop!!

Yes My kids could play for hours with "POUGH" as my 2yr old calls it. And it definately dont stay there single colours for very long, but at least it occupies them

Nice! I too am amazed you can keep the colours separate. Sunny would be happy for hours playing with "roll roll".

We haven't made play dough in soooo long! It seems there's never enough time now that Pumpkin is at big school, but it's time I made time to get back to the really fun stuff like play dough making. Thanks for the inspiration!
