Wordless Wednesday!

Playing along with

and

We seen this Cocoon Moving slowly across our driveway,
So we went out side to investigate.

There was a black and Orange 'bug' hanging half out,
But my little guy was a bit to quick for me.

He tried to help the 'bug' out by pulling the 'Sticks' off its back.

The 'bug' went back into the cocoon, we left it alone all day hoping to see it again, but it didnt come back out, so we put the cocoon in the garden hoping to see it the next morning.
When we checked it, it was gone.

This is what the photo would have looked like if i was quicker then my son,
but different colours.

That is quite an experience. Sometimes they are just a little *too* curious, I suppose :)

I have a fear of caterpillars (traumatized by a plague as a child) and things so made my hairs raise!
I am following you via networkblogs, FB, Twitter, email and RSS now :) won't miss a thing :)

I was always fascinated by cocoons as a kid; we had a huge eucalyptus tree in the backyard that seemed to collect them.

Fascinating, but I wouldn't have got it without your explanation. It's great that you didn't go wordless ;)
